Bayview Hunters Point Foundation has been a leading provider of social services for over 50 years, serving predominantly low-income people of color in San Francisco.

Our mission is to build a community that is empowered, clean, safe, and healthy. We offer a range of programs aimed at addressing the root causes of unemployment and homelessness, including mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, and housing support.

Job Responsibilities

The Care Monitor will work closely with onsite staff to provide support and monitoring of the site, ensuring a safe environment for all. This may include:

  • Referencing operational, security, or client issues to the Site Manager
  • Assisting with client needs, such as delivering toiletries and escorting cleared clients to their rooms
  • Engaging participants to help orient them to the hotel site
  • Dining meals to participants' room doors

You will also be responsible for performing light-duty cleaning and sanitation duties in common areas.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Ability to work well with diverse staff and clientele
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • A strong understanding of the city and state political and community service environment

Prior government relations, non-profit, and grassroots organizing experience is highly preferred.

What We Offer

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, life, and vision insurance, as well as a 403(b) retirement plan.
