Kaiser Permanente seeks a talented Medical Team Associate to contribute to its cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgery department.

Key Responsibilities:

The Medical Team Associate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care through various tasks related to cardiovascular surgical preparation, peri-operative and post-operative procedures under the supervision of a staff cardiovascular surgeon.

  • Perform admission evaluations, including obtaining medical history, reviewing records, and conducting physical exams.
  • Deliver pre-operative education to patients and families on surgery, recovery, and risk factor modification.
  • Support cardiovascular surgical procedures, such as preparing patients for surgery, assisting during procedures, and managing post-operative care.
  • Manage patient medication administration, perform invasive procedures, and coordinate technical aspects of patient care.
  • Evaluate patient status, transcribe orders, and assist with discharge planning.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved physician assistant or surgical assistant program.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

This position offers a competitive salary range: $124,905 - $145,348 per year, depending on experience. The selected candidate will work 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling, including weekends and call coverage.
