We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Technician to join our team at Diversicare Healthcare Services & Diversicare Ther. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our residents.
Responsibilities- Administer medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Organize and document medication duties, including pouring, passing, and recording routine prescribed medications.
- Observe and report any reactions or side effects of medications to the charge nurse.
- Take and record vital signs prior to medication administration.
- Administer oxygen in emergency situations and document accordingly.
- Count and distribute narcotics as directed by the charge nurse.
- Successful completion of a state-approved medication administration program.
- Current certification or acknowledgment card issued by the state agency.
- Ability to abide by state restrictions on medication administration.
- Certified nursing assistant (CNA) certification.
