Job Opportunity: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join its Adult Anesthesiology Division. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality anesthesia care to a complex patient population, working under the supervision of our Adult Anesthesiologists.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer general and local anesthesia to patients
  • Maintain anesthesia delivery systems and monitors, ensuring they are functioning properly
  • Prepare patients for anesthesia, ensuring they are effectively monitored
  • Monitor patients under anesthesia, making recommendations regarding anesthetic care plans
  • Perform post-procedure tests to ensure patients are recovering well
  • Operate anesthesia equipment to monitor patients while delivering direct anesthesia care
  • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after anesthesia to ensure continuity of care and quality
  • Obtain complete patient medical histories, conducting physical exams and pre-procedure interviews

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree or higher in Nursing
  • Previous CRNA experience in Anesthesiology
  • Wisconsin APNP license
  • AHA BCLS and/or ACLS certification
