Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Adult Anesthesiology Division at the Medical College of Wisconsin. As a CRNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Job Summary:

The CRNA will be responsible for administering and monitoring general and regional anesthetics to patients at Froedtert Hospital under the direction and supervision of staff anesthesiologists and the Director for Surgical Services and Anesthesia. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to patient safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer and monitor general and regional anesthetics to patients
  • Work collaboratively with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and a Nurse Anesthetist program
  • Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC
  • Active Wisconsin State Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP) license
  • National Board of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) certification
  • Medicaid and Medicare (PECOS) enrollment
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of hire
