Role Overview:
The Pediatric Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive evaluation, planning, implementation, treatment, and documentation of patient status. This role is vital in supporting our mission to deliver the highest quality of care while adhering to regulatory guidelines and agency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled physical therapy in alignment with the physician's and team's care plan.
- Implement treatment strategies to alleviate pain, enhance function, and maintain optimal performance.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient responses to treatment and any changes in condition.
- Educate patients, families, and health team members on physical therapy processes and the use of assistive devices.
- Conduct regular evaluations and adjust the rehabilitation plan as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient care records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental research projects.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an accredited physical therapy program.
- A minimum of one year of experience in pediatric physical therapy.
- Current Physical Therapy License.
Work Schedule:
Full-time and part-time positions available, with an 8-hour shift format.
