Metrology Maintenance Technician Job Summary

The selected candidate will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on manufacturing equipment in the Chandler Fab Metrology area. This includes troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic and mechanical systems, scheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and other activities relevant to the success of the area. The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of SPC, 5s, FDC systems, and demonstrate problem-solving skills. The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied. The candidate will be required to understand and follow all safety protocols when working around hazardous chemicals. The desired candidate will be required to complete documentation and train others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose equipment alarms, read operational data, and create action plans as needed.
  • Work in a high-volume manufacturing environment and sustain equipment with minimal direction.
  • Use root-cause problem-solving techniques to solve complex problems on Semiconductor toolsets.
Cross-functional Aspects

The candidate will be required to work in a cross-functional team as needed, including associates. The position requires working compressed shifts, days, or nights.

Job Qualifications

The technician position is responsible for effectively executing tasks that are required to maintain Chandler Fab Metrology toolsets, including:

  • KLA: SP1, AIT, F5X, Flexus, 2138, 2367, 8920 Altair, HRP-220, UV1xx0
  • Rudolph: Elipsometer VII, Metapulse, NSX330
  • Keithley: Quantox
  • Applied Materials: SEMVision G3
