Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing medical coverage and support to athletes in a school setting. The Athletic Trainer will work under the supervision of team physicians to provide medical care, including injury evaluation and treatment, and will also be responsible for promoting the Intermountain Sports Medicine programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical coverage and support to athletes during practices and events
  • Evaluate and treat injuries, including developing and implementing care plans
  • Communicate effectively with coaches, school administrators, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, referrals, and treatments
  • Participate in marketing and promotional activities for Intermountain Sports Medicine programs
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including athletic directors, coaches, and parents
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to further the growth of Intermountain Sports Medicine programs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Current athletic trainer license in the state of practice
  • National athletic trainer certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Athletic Trainer at a college or university
  • Completion of a formal Athletic Trainer internship at a college or university

Physical Requirements:

Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.
