Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. This is a per diem, day shift position that offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity in a caring environment.

Job Summary:

  • Assist in the direction of nursing services for the unit/hall, ensuring compliance with the Nursing Practice Act under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Delegate tasks to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and monitor their work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Observe patients for symptoms and reactions, including their general physical and mental condition, for signs indicative of adverse changes.
  • Notify attending physicians of emergencies and patient deaths in the unit and implement changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and proof of license renewal every two years.
  • Willingness to work as charge nurses and cover shifts during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Able to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
  • CPR certification required yearly.
  • Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
