MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is in search of a dynamic, self-driven, and professional Retail Merchandise Processor to enhance our team. Qualifications

A formal degree is not mandatory. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with colleagues, customers, and management. Organizational skills and the ability to engage with a diverse workforce are necessary. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, are required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handles all donations with care and respect.
  • Sorts donated and purchased items into designated categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, outlet, and disposal, following established protocols.
  • Evaluates donated and purchased items to assess quality, identifying suitable items for the sales floor, recycling, and online sales.
  • Determines pricing for items in accordance with AMI pricing software guidelines.
  • Maintains high standards of quality and productivity while working efficiently.
  • Ensures the store area is stocked, organized, and clean, adhering to established standards.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service by greeting, assisting, and thanking customers, donors, and callers. Upholds cleanliness standards by performing tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Fosters positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership, collaborating across teams to enhance communication.
  • Practices safe work habits through vigilance and contributes to maintaining a hazard-free workplace by removing obstacles and keeping pathways clear.
  • Maintains a professional appearance at all times, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
  • Protects agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased goods, from damage or theft. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency property.
  • Complies with all MERS/Goodwill policies, retail procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
