Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiology Sonographer to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing high-quality images for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and adjust all equipment to perform exams, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards.
  • Implement quality control procedures and recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
  • Perform routine and complex studies, assisting in various imaging procedures, and ensuring prompt submission of high-quality images and documents.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
  • Comply with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist, or Medical Sonographer.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
