Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant-General Ledger, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Preparing and posting journal entries, cash disbursements, and cash receipts
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
  • Assisting with annual financial audits, including the maintenance of subsidiary general ledger schedules and the compilation of supporting documentation
  • Maintaining documented accounting procedures and internal controls

You will also act as a backup for accounts payable and payroll processing, and be responsible for analyzing and preparing monthly journal entries for recurring expenses, accruals, and deferrals.
