Patient Care Specialist

Job Summary:
Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with hemodialysis treatment, including setting up and operating dialysis machines, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional support.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of dialysis equipment and treatment areas to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Document patient information and treatment data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; certification in patient care or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in hemodialysis or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
