Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Arc. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. You will work collaboratively with our team to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiographic sonography, cardiovascular ultrasound studies, and other diagnostic procedures as required.
  • Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, transferring patients to ultrasound tables, and positioning patients properly.
  • Ensure images produced by ultrasound machines are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of patient care.
  • Assume responsibility for patient testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance.
  • Perform procedures according to physician orders in patient charts.
  • Calibrate and maintain equipment, and order supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and two-year associate's degree.
  • One or more years of experience in performing adult echocardiogram and stress echocardiogram, carotid ultrasound imaging, and arterial and venous studies.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Vascular Specialist, or equivalent certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification.
  • Experience leading or involved in obtaining ICAEL accreditation.
Work Schedule

PRN as needed between Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, Northwest Hills Specialty clinic location, possible South Austin or North Austin travel required.
