Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly visual assessments of conveyor systems.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on conveyor belts.
  • Assist in the installation of both new and refurbished conveyor belt components.
  • Utilize welding skills as necessary.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Interpret equipment manuals and work orders effectively.
  • Engage in troubleshooting conveyor systems to identify issues.
  • Understand blueprints and customer conveyor systems.
  • Apply proper rigging and signaling techniques for hoisting tasks.
  • Monitor conveyor operations to identify defects or malfunctions.
  • Exhibit general fabrication and layout skills.
  • Follow instructions from the Crew Lead to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
  • Complete tasks as directed to meet quality standards.
  • Possess foundational knowledge of conveyor belt maintenance.
  • Safely execute installation tasks for conveyor components.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience of 1-3 years in conveyor belt operations.
  • Up to 1 year of experience in mining is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with conveyor belt systems is beneficial.
  • Up to 1 year of welding or fabrication experience is preferred.
  • Commitment to good housekeeping practices.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Effective communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Must be able to operate necessary equipment safely.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain required certifications and complete training.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Must pass a post-offer drug test and background check.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Work Schedule and Physical Requirements:

  • Availability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
  • Capability to lift and carry heavy loads regularly.
  • Physical stamina for standing, bending, and climbing.
  • Ability to perform strenuous labor, including lifting over 50 lbs.
