Facilities Maintenance Lead

Reporting To: Technical Services Manager

Overview

Responsible for overseeing the upkeep of all production machinery and facilities in accordance with the plant's technical service protocols.

Core Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement a proactive maintenance strategy aimed at reducing equipment failure rates.

2. Organize routine maintenance schedules, including weekly, monthly, and semi-annual checks for production machinery.

3. Procure necessary materials and tools essential for both routine and preventive maintenance tasks.

4. Supervise and support Maintenance Technicians in executing both regular and preventive maintenance activities.

5. Establish a maintenance program focused on the care and preservation of molds.

6. Collect and analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics, providing recommendations for enhancements.

7. Engage actively in Continuous Improvement initiatives and 5S methodologies.

8. Responsible for the training and skill development of team members.

9. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

10. Ensure proper facilities maintenance is upheld.

11. Possess foundational knowledge of TS16949 standards and the Quality Policy.

12. Adhere to safety protocols, reporting any safety concerns and all incidents, regardless of severity.

13. Maintain plant safety and uphold 5S cleanliness standards.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent standing on concrete surfaces while conducting repairs.
  • Occasional walking during maintenance tasks.
  • Regular lifting from floor to waist height.
  • Occasional pushing/pulling in front of the body during machine repairs.
  • Frequent reaching with arms and hands both in front and below the waist during maintenance activities.
  • Occasional bending or stooping.
  • Constant turning and twisting required to perform job functions.
Qualifications and Skills

Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
