Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to enhance our Bariatric Surgery team at Banner Estrella Medical Center. This role involves providing comprehensive care for patients undergoing bariatric procedures. The selected candidate will be responsible for rounding on hospitalized patients, conducting clinic visits, and assisting in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care to bariatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in patient management, including pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups.
- Provide First-Assist during surgical procedures.
Qualifications:
- NCCPA certification with DEA prescriptive authority is mandatory.
- Current Arizona licensure or eligibility is required.
- Open to candidates of all experience levels, including new graduates.
Position Details:
- Work schedule includes a mix of clinic and operating room duties, with clinic responsibilities three days a week and OR duties two days a week.
- Clinic hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
- Participation in call coverage is expected.
