The Portfolio Banker is a critical role at GBC International Bank, responsible for preparing loan files for underwriting, documentation, and closing. This position requires strong coordination and communication skills to ensure timely loan boarding.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with account officers and underwriters to verify all necessary documents for loan closing have been received and reviewed for compliance.
- Collect and order documents from various parties, including entity documents, title documents, and compliance documents.
- Assist in engaging approved vendors for appraisal, appraisal review, and environmental services.
- Review documents for accuracy and completeness, and upload them to the database.
- Complete CIP/CDD forms and perform initial loan document reviews.
- Ensure final loan documents are properly executed, recorded, and delivered.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong business and customer interaction skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer programs.
- Minimum one year of experience in commercial real estate as a loan assistant, loan closer, or portfolio banker.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to speak Korean a plus.
The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to handle objects. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
The work environment is moderate, with occasional exposure to noise.
