Position Overview

We are looking for a Pharmacist to oversee and manage the distribution of cannabis products to our medical clientele. In this capacity, you will act as the onsite medical expert, ensuring that patients receive the correct dosage along with comprehensive education and counseling. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide personalized education to our cannabis patients, and you will excel at conducting a thorough drug utilization review to evaluate: the appropriateness of therapy; suitable strain, dosage, route, and duration; allergies and drug interactions; and potential misuse. Key Responsibilities
  • Be present in-store at all times during scheduled shifts to facilitate the dispensing of cannabis products.
  • Evaluate patient certifications to monitor for restrictions and assist patients in determining the best treatment options.
  • Drive retail sales and enhance patient retention.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations.
  • Communicate any restrictions to the dispensary team to ensure awareness of product selection and quantity limitations.
  • Provide accurate and timely medication information to patients both over the phone and in-person.
  • Educate new and existing patients on the properties and benefits of cannabis.
  • Consult with patients and assess their certifications to recommend the most appropriate treatment course.
  • Stay informed on current research and developments related to cannabis.
  • Assist with additional dispensary tasks as deemed necessary by the store manager, including product deliveries, inventory management, employee training, fulfilling online orders, and processing patient orders at the registers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be a registered and licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the relevant state authorities.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant pharmacy experience with a strong focus on patient and customer service.
  • Ability to learn and comprehend cannabinoids and their interactions with the human body.
  • Prior experience with Point of Sale technology systems.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management and sales reporting.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and capable of working independently or collaboratively with sound judgment and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Possess a high level of critical thinking skills.
  • Operate with professionalism and integrity, particularly when handling confidential information.
  • Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb.
  • Solid understanding of cannabis laws, regulations, and a passion for furthering knowledge in the industry.
  • Availability to meet scheduling requirements based on business needs.
Additional Requirements
  • Must successfully pass all required background checks.
  • Must remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be approved by the state badging agency to work in the cannabis sector.
