Position Overview

We are looking for a Pharmacist to oversee and manage the distribution of cannabis products to our medical clientele. In this capacity, you will act as the onsite medical expert, ensuring that patients receive the appropriate dosage while providing essential education and counseling. This role offers a unique chance to engage directly with our cannabis patients, excelling in conducting a thorough drug utilization review to evaluate: the suitability of therapy; the correct strain, dosage, method, and duration; potential allergies and drug interactions; and risks of misuse. We seek an individual who is genuinely passionate about our patients and the plant, motivated by alternative medicine to support Green Thumb's mission of enhancing well-being through cannabis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be present in-store throughout scheduled shifts to facilitate the dispensing of cannabis products.
  • Evaluate patient certifications to monitor for any restrictions and assist patients in determining the most suitable treatment options.
  • Promote retail sales and enhance patient loyalty.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations.
  • Communicate any restrictions to the dispensary team to manage product selection and quantity limitations.
  • Provide accurate and timely medication information to patients both over the phone and in person.
  • Educate new and existing patients on the benefits and properties of cannabis.
  • Consult with patients and assess their certifications to recommend the best treatment plans.
  • Stay informed on current research and developments related to cannabis.
  • Assist with additional dispensary tasks as assigned by the store manager, including product deliveries, inventory management, employee training, fulfilling online orders, and processing patient orders at the registers.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Must be a registered and licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the relevant state authority.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant pharmacy experience with a strong focus on patient and customer service.
  • Ability to learn and comprehend cannabinoids and their interactions with the human body.
  • Prior experience with Point of Sale technology systems.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and sales reporting.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and capable of working independently or collaboratively with sound judgment and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Possess a high level of critical thinking skills.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism and integrity, especially when handling confidential information.
  • Understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb.
  • Possess a solid understanding of cannabis laws, regulations, and a passion for furthering knowledge in the industry.
  • Meet scheduling and availability requirements to fulfill business needs.
Additional Requirements
  • Must successfully pass all required background checks.
  • Must remain compliant with all legal and company regulations pertaining to the industry.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must receive approval from the state badging agency to work in the cannabis sector.
