Job Summary

The Safety Ambassador will serve as a liaison between employees and management, promoting a culture of safety and health within the organization. This role will involve reviewing incidents, conducting worksite inspections, and implementing improvements to prevent future incidents.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing safety protocols and practices, including PPE. They will be responsible for training and guiding employees on safety-related matters, as well as promoting health and safety engagement campaigns.

The Safety Ambassador will work closely with designated H&S leadership to support safety efforts and provide guidance on safety-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review recent incidents and emergency response actions
  • Conduct worksite inspections and implement improvements
  • Review results of occupational accidents and incidents
  • Recommend new safety policies and procedures
  • Train and guide employees on safety-related matters
  • Promote health and safety engagement campaigns

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and practices
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships
  • Ability to understand and follow procedures and company policies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Powered industrial truck experience
  • Knowledge of forklift/reach truck operations and safety protocols

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Some College or equivalent work experience preferred
