Key Responsibilities

  1. Scheduling: Maintain accurate records of labor hours and standards for all maintenance tasks.
  2. Cost Management: Oversee and control maintenance expenditures, seeking cost-effective solutions while monitoring daily operational costs.
  3. Quality Assurance: Ensure that the property consistently meets or exceeds brand standards for guest satisfaction and facility quality.
  4. Leadership: Inspire and guide team members, setting clear objectives and providing constructive feedback and recognition.

Essential Duties

  • Supervise all engineering projects, ensuring timely and effective completion.
  • Coordinate routine and preventive maintenance across all hotel facilities.
  • Maintain the aesthetic appeal of the property, overseeing landscaping and exterior maintenance.
  • Act as the Manager on Duty as required.

Job Requirements

  • Proficient in property management systems and hotel operational procedures.
  • Enforce compliance with company policies and procedures among engineering staff.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and complaints with a focus on superior service.
  • Ensure safety policies are adhered to, protecting team members and assets.

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance is essential, with a preference for candidates with hotel industry experience. A comprehensive understanding of major building systems, including life-safety systems, is required. Strong communication and leadership skills are crucial for success in this role.
