Tax Manager Job Description

Overview

A leading public accounting firm in Charlotte is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a reputable organization that prioritizes work-life balance, even during peak tax seasons.

Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare complex tax returns, including 1120s, S-Corps, partnerships, and 1040s, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Evaluate tax implications of company activities and develop strategies to minimize tax obligations.
  • Oversee the preparation of all tax filings and reporting compliance.
  • Perform tax planning for businesses and individuals.
  • Collaborate with the tax partner to advise management on future tax regulations and their impact on the organization.
  • Provide input for the tax department's annual budget.
  • Resolve escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Accounting, with a CPA certification.
  • At least 3 years of managerial experience, with 3+ years of experience reviewing complex tax returns.
  • Ability to work onsite 3 days a week.
