Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications, and conduct analyses for complex facility infrastructure systems.
  • Review and approve drawings as required.
  • Ensure quality, quantity, and completeness of infrastructure-related projects.
  • Provide technical guidance to trades personnel working on mechanical systems.
  • Review and recommend specifications for the purchase of materials, equipment, systems, services, or construction.
  • Oversee the review and checking of construction and vendor drawings.
  • Lead or assist with the development of manpower, man-hour, and labor cost requirements for a project and monitor it to evaluate against budgets and schedules.
  • Perform material take-offs for construction and infrastructure upgrades.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of job-related experience.
  • Knowledge of government regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Working knowledge of building management systems such as CMMS and BAS.
  • Working knowledge of the operation and repair of chillers, boilers, motors, pumps, HVAC units, and UPS systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Professional Engineer registration in any state.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Government Security clearance.
