SUMMARY

  • The Senior Facilities Engineer at The Goodman Group is responsible for managing the operational integrity of physical plant systems within senior living and healthcare environments. This role demands active participation in facility-related initiatives, including compliance inspections and energy efficiency programs, alongside updating emergency protocols and conducting training sessions. Proficiency in maintenance areas such as asphalt, concrete, windows, siding, roofs, and stucco is critical for achieving success.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and maintain the condition of roofs, siding, windows, doors, parking areas, and landscaping.
  • Support HUD-financed properties in preparation for compliance inspections.
  • Execute energy management initiatives, including solar projects, and oversee renovation efforts.
  • Direct the National Emergency Services program and manage vendor contracts.
  • Assess equipment requirements, manage property liabilities, and ensure staff are adequately trained.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 years of experience in facilities management with an emphasis on healthcare operations.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience, along with relevant industry certifications.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, OSHPD, and ACHA regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills, creativity in problem-solving, and the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to ethical standards.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various business documents.
  • Skilled in presenting information to diverse audiences.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Utilize mathematical concepts in practical applications.
  • Work with statistics, probabilities, and basic geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Address practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions.

Physical Demands:

  • Responsibilities include sitting, walking, lifting, and working in varying weather conditions.
