Job Overview

Service Construction of Illinois, Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Cost Analyst. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive background in residential construction and remodeling, along with foundational knowledge in commercial projects. Candidates should demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Extensive Experience: A minimum of 10 years in residential construction and remodeling.
  • Field Expertise: Hands-on experience with self-performed work.
  • Trade Knowledge: A solid understanding of various trades involved in construction.
  • Building Codes: Familiarity with building codes and the ability to research and resolve code-related inquiries.
  • Professional Networking: Capability to engage architects or engineers to address project challenges.
  • Site Evaluation: Proficient in conducting job site assessments and preparing detailed bids for potential clients.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving: Aptitude for resolving issues that arise in the field.
  • Project Scheduling: Experience in creating and updating construction timelines.
  • Contract Management: Ability to draft contracts and assist in the preparation of G701/702 forms and sworn statements.
  • Change Order Review: Competence in reviewing and processing change orders from subcontractors.
  • Resource Management: Skill in sourcing products and applications to meet project requirements.
  • Innovative Thinking: Capacity to devise creative solutions for project challenges.
  • Blueprint Proficiency: Strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Scope Development: Experience in writing detailed scopes of work.
  • Client Consultation: Ability to present clients with project options to ensure optimal solutions.
  • Permit Process: Understanding of the job permit process and execution.
  • Availability: Willingness to be available for meetings and communications outside of regular hours.
