Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Education & Event Coordinator (Training II) to join our team at Johnson County Government. This role will be responsible for planning, evaluating, and implementing continuing education and training sessions for contractors, building code officials, and their direct reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Plan, evaluate, and establish standards for continuing education and training sessions, ensuring alignment with organizational strategic plans.
  • Event Planning: Coordinate annual continuing education and training schedules, manage event budgets, and oversee logistics for training events.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain organizational communications, such as bulletin boards and newsletters, to ensure licensees are informed about training and development events.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with program presenters, serve as a point of contact during training, and act as an event host.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Analyze data to measure programming effectiveness, report impact to administration, and evaluate the effectiveness of training.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Human Resources, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Instructional Design and Technology, Business Education, or a relevant field.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or relevant certification preferred.
