Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a key member of our Medical Group Administration department, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate outpatient registration and preregistration functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and verify demographic, financial, and patient identification information from patients or guarantors using E-Plus/PayNav, as well as obtain consent to treatment and inform patients/guarantors of our inclusion in HealthInfoNet.
  • Accurately enter registrations for ancillary departments using AOM orders and outside requisitions for all outpatient services.
  • Be responsible for preregistration of medical imaging services and surgical services to ensure accuracy and point-of-service care, while collecting pre-service monies.
  • Collect and collaborate with the ED Greeter to ensure accurate emergency department registrations.
  • Gather NPI information for non-staff providers and email information to be added to the UPIN dictionary or verify the status of providers and add to the UPIN dictionary.
  • Assist and provide coverage for admissions, ED Greeter, and switchboard duties as needed.
  • Assist ancillary departments with questions and other front-line staff with registration questions/concerns.

  • Ability to drive to perform responsible duties
  • Prolonged periods of sitting
