Job Summary

Cumberland County Guidance Center is seeking a highly skilled Certified Mental Health Screener to join our team. As a Certified Screener, you will provide face-to-face emergency screenings, evaluations, and crisis interventions to adults and children in the community and hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency screenings, evaluations, and crisis interventions to adults and children in the community and hospital.
  • Answer phone referrals, provide therapeutic interventions, and advise on face-to-face interactions.
  • Document all telephone contacts and face-to-face interactions.
  • Participate in training, supervision, and employee development as recommended by the Director of the Program.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution plus one year of experience in a psychiatric setting, or a bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution plus three years of experience in mental health, one of which is in a crisis or acute care setting.
  • Completion of NJDMHS Crisis Training Certification or eligibility to take this examination.
  • Valid automobile driver's license with a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets agency standards.
  • Able to work flexible hours.
