Job Summary:

The Sushi Chef II is a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional responsible for preparing traditional Japanese sushi dishes. This role requires expertise in knife skills, sushi preparation, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare traditional Japanese sushi rice and ingredients
  • Chop, slice, and fillet various types of fish and vegetables
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Minimize waste and costs through proper utilization of resources
  • Lead by example at the sushi bar, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years in the food service industry; sushi rolling experience required
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

  • Valid food handler's license, with sound knowledge of food safety regulations
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time and work under pressure
