Mathematics Professor

Hanover College is seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Professor to join our faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about teaching and committed to the liberal arts mission of the College.

• Teach a wide range of mathematics courses, including courses of interest to future teachers
• Develop and implement effective teaching methods to engage students
• Advise and mentor students in their academic and professional pursuits
• Contribute to the development of the Mathematics department and the College's liberal arts mission
• Participate in scholarly activities and publish research in mathematics education

• Ph.D. in Mathematics by time of appointment
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and commitment to student learning
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student and community populations
• Ability to advise and mentor students
• Active participation in scholarly interests and research in mathematics education

• Experience teaching math education-oriented courses such as History of Mathematics and Foundations of Geometry
• Ability to contribute to the development of the Mathematics department and the College's liberal arts mission
