About the Position

Hanover College is seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Professor to join our faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about teaching and committed to the liberal arts mission of the College.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a wide range of mathematics courses, including courses of interest to future teachers
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the College's liberal arts mission
  • Advise and mentor students in their academic and professional pursuits
  • Contribute to the College's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Engage in scholarly activities and publish research in mathematics education
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Mathematics by time of appointment
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and commitment to student learning
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student and community populations
  • Ability to advise and mentor students
  • Active participation in scholarly interests and research in mathematics education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching math education-oriented courses such as History of Mathematics and Foundations of Geometry
