Trillium Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated Railcar Maintenance Specialist. This role involves critical responsibilities in the inspection and repair of railcars, ensuring compliance with both customer and industry standards.
As a Railcar Maintenance Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough inspections and executing repairs on railcars.
- Performing tasks such as disassembly, grinding, cleaning, and applying touch-up paint and decals.
- Utilizing a variety of hand and power tools, including air arc, plasma cutting, Huck and welding machines, as well as oxyfuel equipment for heating and cutting tasks.
This position is full-time and offers a temp-to-hire opportunity. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with potential overtime as needed. The compensation for this role is set at $23.25 per hour.
Please note that this position is safety-sensitive, and drug testing may be part of the hiring process.
Qualifications:- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Certification in SMAW or relevant recent experience is necessary.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with hand and power tools are essential, along with the ability to interpret blueprints and manuals.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Comfort in working outdoors and at elevated heights is required.
- Candidates must be able to pass pre-employment screenings.
