We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Cummins, specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in Louisville, KY.
Key Responsibilities:- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
- Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics
- Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality
- Completes complex internal engine repairs
- Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision
- Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
- Larger more complicated engine rebuilds
- Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation
- Med-Card required
- DMV driving report required
- Current valid license required
- 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
- 3 years driving experience
- Subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations
- Subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements
- CDL holder must be 21 years of age or older
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
