As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Strawser Construction Inc, you will be responsible for promoting, leading, and monitoring the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment approach in line with the company's primary value, Safety, and related policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting materials for conformance to certain specifications
  • Operating and maintaining laboratory testing equipment to analyze material
  • Reporting and maintaining accurate quality control reports
  • Visiting job sites or plants to acquire asphalt samples
  • Resolving sample compliance with ODOT specifications and company's quality control program
  • Troubleshooting and making recommendations to Quality Manager on improving processes

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience/Vocational School graduate
  • Capable to employ the best judgment and resourcefulness in performing testing and reporting
  • Mechanical competence is required
  • Ability to use and understand basic Microsoft Office products
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the work performed will be in a climate-controlled lab on concrete floors
  • Will also work outside on uneven surfaces while collecting samples from manufacturing plants and job sites
  • Comfortable lifting 50lbs multiple times per day
