Sprinkler System Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Sprinkler Inspector III to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in our life safety product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and testing of sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices to operate low voltage equipment.
- Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documentation using laptop computers.
- Make minor repairs and programming changes under authorized supervision.
- Complete assigned inspections on time and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years documented experience in sprinkler systems preferred.
- Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs, and operational manuals.
- Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
- Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and foam systems.
- Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
- Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
- Able to work in unusual positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer requirements.
- Willing to travel out of town, including overnight lodging.
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
- Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
- Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Repair experience.
- Backflow certification.
- NICET Level 2 certification in water-based systems.
