About the Role:
Cement Masons at Atkinson Construction play a vital role in our team, working on a variety of projects that require expertise in concrete construction. As a union craftsman, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chipping and patching concrete surfaces
- Setting and removing forms, including catch basin structures and drain inlets
- Operating machinery, such as rodding machines and bull floaters
- Assisting in the preparation and finishing of concrete surfaces
- Participating in quality control and assurance processes
Requirements:
- Apprenticeship or journeyman experience in cement masonry
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
