Precision Machinist for Research Applications

Position Overview:
ResourceMFG is currently seeking a Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting our Research and Development initiatives by fabricating components for scientific instruments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with graduate students and faculty to manufacture precision parts.
- Operate various machining equipment including mills and lathes.
- Work with materials such as plastic, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Utilize tools such as Hurco CNC milling machines, Bridgeport milling machines, Hardinge HLV precision lathes, and LeBlond lathes.
- Perform shop math and simple geometry calculations as required.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in machining.
- Proficient in operating mills and lathes.
- Must possess personal tools necessary for the job.
- Vocational training is preferred.

Additional Skills:
- Experience with vertical saws, horizontal cutoff saws, tool grinders, belt sanders, and hydraulic presses is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Mastercam is a plus.
