Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to join our team at Grand Targhee Resort. As a Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our public areas, including guest check-in, conference rooms, and public bathrooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Sanitize Public Areas: Ensure all public areas are clean and sanitized, adhering to established practices and procedures.
  • Laundry and Linen Management: Wash, dry, and fold all linens in the laundry room, as well as launder cleaning rags and other materials.
  • Facility Maintenance: Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty and clean recycling and trash containers.
  • Window Cleaning: Wash accessible interior and exterior windows, as well as clean blinds.
  • Trash and Recycling Management: Check all public trash bins and ensure they are emptied and cleaned regularly.
Responsibilities to Safety
  • Protect Yourself and Others: Protect the safety of yourself, co-workers, and resort guests at all times.
  • Report Safety Incidents: Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to your supervisor immediately.
  • Follow Safety Policies: Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
  • Safe Equipment Operation: Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
  • Safe Driving Practices: Drive in accordance with the law and resort policies.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Prior custodial or housekeeping experience preferred. High school diploma or General Education Degree required.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate measurements, amounts, proportions, percentages, and volume.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
