Environmental Advocate

We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team at Canyon Guard, a coalition dedicated to preserving the wilderness beauty of Little Cottonwood Canyon. Our mission is to safeguard the canyon's majestic beauty for generations to come by advocating for cost-effective solutions to traffic congestion that don't burden taxpayers or compromise the environment.

Our team has conducted analysis revealing that the proposed Gondola project is financially unsustainable, environmentally damaging, and will not solve traffic congestion. Instead, we have identified numerous proven, lower-cost solutions that can be implemented to address the issue. As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in helping us raise awareness about the wasteful Gondola project and promote our alternative solutions.

We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:

• Outreach: Help us develop a network with relevant stakeholders, including government officials, non-profit organizations, local businesses, media, foundations, and the community. You can contact these organizations, put up posters, contact your network, make social media posts, or help us in tabling events.
• Graphic Design and Media Production: Use your storytelling skills and graphic design talents to help us educate the public about the traffic issues and possible solutions in Little Cottonwood Canyon through traditional media and social media platforms.
• Legal and Data Research: Apply your legal knowledge and data analysis skills to help us perform research on transportation infrastructure and funding plans that support our ongoing lawsuit.
