We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist to join our team at GoHealth Urgent Care. As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records.
Key Responsibilities- Transcribe medical charting for healthcare providers
- Assist in fundamental clinical care, including Point of Care (POC) testing, intake of vitals, and other procedures
- Coordinate patient triage and overall workflow
- Maintain medical records, lab results, and imaging reports in accurate manner in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Manage faxing and referral process
- Previous use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Medical Terminology knowledge
- Typing speed of 60+ words per minute
- EMT or Medical School student experience
- Medical Assistant experience
- Experience in an Urgent Care environment
- High School Diploma required
- Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or RMA)
- Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) Certification
- Certified Medical Scribe Specialist (CMSS) Certification
- Healthcare Professional Licensure (EMT, ARRT, RN, LPN, etc.)
- Keyboard proficiency
- Experience using Electronic Health Records
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
