At Marymount University, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate faculty member to join our School of Counseling as an Assistant/Associate Professor. This tenure-track position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our students, while advancing your own research and scholarship in the field of professional counseling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in the CACREP core, including counseling theories, techniques, and practices.
- Advise and mentor students in their academic and professional pursuits.
- Engage in service to the School and University-wide committees, promoting collaboration and excellence in academic and research endeavors.
- Pursue scholarly activities that align with the School of Counseling's research agenda, contributing to the advancement of the counseling profession.
- Hold a Ph.D./Ed.D. from a CACREP-accredited program in Counselor Education and Supervision, with a minimum of one year of experience post-dissertation completion for Assistant rank, or a record of teaching and scholarship for Associate rank.
- Be licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in DC, Virginia, or Maryland, or be eligible for licensure within one year of hire.
Requirements:
- Ph.D./Ed.D. from a CACREP-accredited program in Counselor Education and Supervision.
