About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate RN Hospice Director of Operations to lead our team at Amedisys, a leading provider of home health, hospice, and high-acuity care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the overall organizational and financial management of the care center, ensuring direction of care center operations and functions according to approved policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Enhance business development and continuously improve care center efficiency and fiscal success.
  • Provide supervision to clinical managers, ensuring delivery of quality care to patients.
  • Contribute to marketing activities and care center marketing plan to ensure goals for growth are met.
  • Coach, direct, and encourage staff to achieve their full potential.
  • Implement a performance improvement program to drive quality care, positive patient outcomes, and address negative trends.
  • Address and correct issues and deficiencies identified during internal or external surveys or audits.
  • Make employment decisions for direct report staff, including hiring, firing, advancing, promoting, or changing status.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in business or clinical-related field.
  • Two years of hospice experience and at least one year of supervisory experience, or two years of experience in leadership/management in healthcare or hospice.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business or clinical-related field and licensed clinical professional.
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN or other healthcare professional specific to the state assigned to work.
