Responsibilities:
  • Performing technical inspections of electrical work and monitoring the contractor's quality control program
  • Reviewing project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance
  • Ensuring the contractor is performing the required contract work in accordance with the design documents
  • Reading design/construction drawings and understanding design narratives and calculations
  • Reviewing engineering shop drawings and determining if the contractor has complied with the final design parameters
  • Observing onsite construction and determining if construction elements are being installed, formed, and executed properly
  • Monitoring the construction contractor's quality assurance and safety program
  • Monitoring construction progress vis-à-vis the project schedule and submitting weekly progress reports with recommendations
  • Reviewing contractor submittals and assessing/responding to Requests for Information (RFI)
  • Coordinating the development of Independent Government Estimates (IGEs) for modifications and change orders
  • Preparing Monthly Progress Reports and attending meetings summarizing project status
Requirements:
  • Engineering, architecture, or construction management degree from an accredited university in the United States
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or active Secret clearance before deployment
  • Knowledge of International Codes and Construction Safety regulations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Specific experience with high and low voltage equipment, telephone, and fire alarm systems
