Job OpportunitySMI Realty Management is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Forest Creek, our apartment community in south Austin. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial records for the property and assisting the Property Manager with the day-to-day operation of the community. This role requires excellent computer skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to present a positive, professional image while representing the company.Main Responsibilities
  • Collect and process all deposits and rent payments, ensuring accurate and timely recording in our accounting system.
  • Prepare and send notices of returned checks, late rent reminders, and other correspondence to residents and vendors.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with leasing activities, including showing apartments, processing applications, and conducting move-in and move-out inspections.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date lease files, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly reports, including rent rolls, delinquency reports, and other financial data.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Assistant Property Manager in the multi-family industry.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Yardi software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
