Rio Rancho, New Mexico, United States Open Skies Healthcare Full time
Position Overview

The Behavioral Health Management Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting youth with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. This position focuses on assisting individuals aged up to 21 in developing, restoring, and maintaining behaviors that facilitate appropriate community engagement.

In collaboration with the Behavior Management Services Coordinator and under clinical supervision, the Specialist is tasked with formulating a comprehensive Service Plan aimed at addressing and modifying disruptive behaviors.

The Specialist implements strategies outlined in the Service Plan to enhance behavioral skills, providing positive reinforcement and utilizing therapeutic techniques as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Behavior management services are designed to prevent the need for more intensive interventions such as inpatient care or residential treatment, ensuring that clients remain connected to their families and communities.

Additionally, the Specialist offers transitional support services following any hospitalization or out-of-home placements, promoting a return to the least restrictive environment possible.
