GeorgiaGov is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychiatrist to join our team at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta. As a Forensic Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and treatment to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Treat inpatient forensic patients with a focus on providing individualized care and support.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medication and manage medical emergencies in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including transition planning and after-discharge care.
  • Participate in competency evaluations and provide expert testimony as needed.
  • Prepare and submit case reports and summaries to relevant government and mental health agencies.
