Aptive Resources is seeking a skilled Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, you will specialize in providing nursing care and support to patients experiencing mental health disorders or psychiatric crises.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations, to evaluate patients' mental health needs, symptoms, and risk factors.
- Formulate nursing diagnoses and collaborate with psychiatrists and psychologists to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications as prescribed, monitor therapeutic responses, and assess for potential side effects or adverse reactions.
- Implement therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy techniques, behavioral management strategies, and crisis intervention protocols.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health disorders, treatment options, coping mechanisms, and community resources.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Current, unrestricted RN license from any state in the United States.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate accredited by the American Heart Association.
- Current Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) certificate accredited by the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of three (3) years prior experience in an inpatient psychiatric unit setting.
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
