About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Store Manager Candidate. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Store Manager in the effective implementation of all store processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Staffing: Assist in recruiting and staffing activities to ensure a well-trained and motivated team.
  • Merchandising and Inventory Management: Assist with store merchandising by facilitating and/or participating in staging, stocking, and storage of merchandise, ensuring that merchandise is presented according to established practices and store manager direction.
  • Inventory Control: Assist in all aspects of inventory management, including proper execution of damages, markdowns, register scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
  • Customer Service: Provide superior customer service leadership and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers.
  • Store Operations: Participate in store opening and closing activities, ensure the safe deposit of all company funds, and assist in maintaining a clean and well-stocked store.
  • Financial Management: Assist in ensuring the financial integrity of the store through strict cashier accountability, key control, and adherence to company security practices and cash control procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Experience: One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and learn IBM cash register functions.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices, cash handling procedures, and recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling, and termination practices.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent walking and standing, frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds. You will also be required to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels.
