We are seeking a highly skilled **Coding and Compliance Expert** to join our team at Lakeland Regional Health-Florida. The estimated annual salary for this position is $63,000-$75,000, depending on experience.
As a **Coding and Compliance Expert**, you will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and diagnostic results to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and/or HCPCS codes and modifiers to outpatient encounters for reimbursement and statistical purposes, and collaborating with Physician Advisor as required to continue appeal process.
We require a High School diploma with Associate Degree from an accredited HIM program or certificate in coding from an accredited college, along with 2-5 years of acute care hospital inpatient coding experience within the past five years. Certifications such as CCS, RHIT, or RHIA are preferred.
